What started out as a desire to save history by restoring an 1872 Opera House has become an event center that you can use for your special day. The goal was to have something truly unique and affordable. The opportunities are endless from weddings and receptions, parties, concerts and business meetings. We can accommodate all these options up to 180 people maximum.
The Ole Opera House has many unique features. Vintage feel comes from characteristics like massive wooden double doors leading to original 10’ stairwell. The original stage is beautifuly preserved but is large enough to be used for extended seating of the space for large crowds. 100 year old graffiti it tasteful and creates its own decor. Original hardwood floors and stained bead board ceilings round out the space for your event. Of course there are modern conveniences like handicapped accessibility by elevator, climate control for 4 season use, two bathrooms ( one doubles as a bridal powder room) and a separate restaurant and bar downstairs at the Jalapeno Grill.
At the Ole Opera House you get small town feel for your relaxed event at affordable prices. Only 7 miles to exit 4 where life moves slower and the people of Guthrie welcome you in. Downstairs of the event center you can visit the Jalapeño grill for amazing food and a margarita or go next door to Salon 201 for a special day spa experience. Many great photo opportunities around the town include the Guthrie castle, many building ghost signs, train engine and caboose, transportation museum, and yes Joes Standard gas station where they pump your gas and clea your window!

Yes You may bring in and consume your own alcohol if it is a private event that is invited guests only. Example a wedding shower, reception private meeting, etc. You can not if it is a free event open to the public. Of course you must follow age appropriate laws. Drinks can not leave the event space.
20 6’ tables and 100 chairs are available for use and included in the rental cost. We can provide help setting up our equipment in most cases.
Decorating is allowed but ask that you use masking type tape. All is expected to be removed during your cleanup process.
